'PRINCE CHARLES bans foie gras from royal menus.' |
|
Hello Magazine; 11 March 2008(page 94): "Prince Charles has banned foie gras - the delicacy that is produced by force-feeding ducks or geese to enlarge their livers - from the menus of all of his royal homes. The heir to the throne will also review the royal warrant given to a shop, House of Cheese in Tetbury near his Highgrove home, after the Prince discovered that it sells the delicacy, which is described by opponents as 'torture in a tin'. Production of foie gras is banned in the UK."
