The scene was the beautiful Lourensford wine estate on a sweltering day in December 2008. A veritable couch potato ran her first 1/2 marathon after being challenged, to raise funds for the No Foie Gras campaign.

Almost R2000 has been received so far from supporters. The funds will go toward educational materials including DVD copies of Culinary Cruelty.

Education of the public and suppliers is paramount, as it is only through the refusal to purchase and eat Foie Gras and the refusal to support those places who insist on continuing to supply it, and telling them why, can the supply dwindle.

Please visit our supporters page - we encourage you to visit those establishments who have permantly removed Foie Gras from their menus, or taken the pledge to not  serve it in future.
